Pellegrino meets Missoni

Pellegrino meets Missoni

A little while ago a friend and I had dinner at Cucina Toscana an amazing Salt Lake City Italian Restaurant that I would highly recommend, and when they brought us a bottle of Pellegrino we immediately both noticed that the label was a little different. It is Pellegrino meets Missoni! So, what would any label-loving design geek do? I asked for the bottle after we were through of course! Isn't it beautiful? Anybody else seeing these limited edition beauties floating around?

Emma Robertson

Graphic designer, Emma Robertson, recently introduced herself and it didn’t take me long before I was sending her fan mail. I love everything about her personal identity design, especially the color choice and the handwritten text.

Emma Robertson

Emma also just opened up a shop of knitted goods that are as adorable as the model, another one of her many titles. Emma, congrats on earning the right to call yourself cool.

Well Branded: Glacé

Glacé

Glacé

A favorite feature on my site is a series called Well Branded where I showcase beautiful identity packages.

One such example is Glacé in Kansas City. Creative partners Nathaniel Cooper and Brent Anderson thought of everything, the space is modern yet inviting and the print material is impeccable. I'm especially fond of the stickers to seal up takeout bags, they're just darling! (Via: Jordan Gray)

Tying the Knot

I'm a total sucker for a good wedding invitation so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I was completely floored by this invite by urbanINFLUENCE (a local fave of mine). Designed for art director Mike Mate's wedding, they are utterly charming. I love the summer camp feel and the gmund paper was the perfect choice. (If you'd like to see more uses of faux bois paper, I printed my husband's 30th Birthday invites on it). Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Charming Wedding

I can't get enough of the lovely wedding photos by Kamp Photography for Jessie and Tyler's charming wedding. The bride and groom are both graphic designers and the details of the event are delightfully well done.

I love the letterpress balloon wedding invitation created by the couple -- and those jam jars for favors are so precious! See more of the details of their sweet invite over at their website One Plus One and more photos over at Kamp Photography.

This stunning branding and design for the Fedrigoni London Showroom by Joe Stephenson, I haven't been able to get out of my mind the last few days -- maybe because I really love Gelato. Isn't it beautiful?!

Hue Home and Colour Inc.

This past month I had the pleasure of working with a lovely lady, Beth Lowenfeld, to create the branding, print materials and website for her new home staging and colour consultation company, Hue Home and Colour Inc. It was such a fun project! And I really loved how all of the materials turned out! The colours are so vibrant. And with a company named 'Hue', that is pretty important!

Take a peek at her new logo, business cards, gift certificates, note cards, folders, and website. We ordered some beautiful chartreuse envelopes to match the notecards and gift certificates...what a purty package when it all came together!

Best of luck, Beth! Your biz seems like it's off to an amazing start already.

We thought we'd start off this fine Monday {and last day of November} with a fun giveaway for our Bloomies! As you know, we offer graphic design services along with our event design services to make your event totally custom and unique! Well since the holidays are around the corner, we would like to give away 12 of these purty holiday cards, created by inBloom Event Design, to one of our lucky readers.

To enter this giveaway, please leave a quick comment here on our blog {Blogger blog, not our Facebook page} about what colours you will use to decorate this holiday {traditional red and green or something a bit different?} and we'll choose a random number...the comment that corresponds to the random number wins!

We will be accepting comments until Thursday December 3rd, and announcing the winner on Friday December 4th. Good luck!

anthro mail

Hopefully you aren't too sick of my adoration for Anthropologie yet? Because I got two pretty pieces of mail from them this week {in the midst of my bills and flyers} and I just had to share. Each piece is simple, but well designed and cuter than can be. I'm scratching my head at how they were able to pull off these seemingly handmade pieces for a mass mailing though. They are just too clever!

getting ready for the circus!

My sister Shayna's circus wedding is fast approaching! In fact, it is on Saturday and it looks like everything is in order!

Shayna's friend Rashmi painted this cute circus poster for her, in the wedding colours of yellow and teal. I helped make them into invitations complete with envelopes, maps, and admit one tickets.

My circus wedding outfit is coming together nicely to...

this is my dress from Fraiche and ribbon from Mokuba
these are my accessories - an over-sized fabric flower from Le Chateau
and feathery fascinator made by my cousin Julia

these are my yellow {and extremely comfy} heels from the Kenneth Cole store in Chicago.

font crush: feel script

I've had a font crush on Feel Script {above} for a while now...but after making a recent and pricey font purchase, I will have to hold off for just a while. Isn't it beautiful though? After some digging I was happy to find a similar font for free...At Mahogany Script {below} doesn't have all of Feel's fabulous flourishes, but it's a good substitution while the funds replenish! Have a wonderful weekend...

clever moving announcements

How cool are these letterpress moving announcements? And from a Toronto company! The scored postcard can be cut and folded into a little moving truck. Now that's genius!
