i love you yellow shirt

P. and I went to see I Love You Man this weekend and I actually really enjoyed it! Not only was it hilarious, but it catered to my inner fashionista. While P. was taken with all of the Rush music, I was eyeing all of the yellow featured in the wardrobe of Rashida Jones' character Zooey. And there was one yellow shirt in particular, with beautiful circle detailing, that I was crazy for! After a quick search on the web yesterday I realized I wasn't the only one hunting down this beautiful number. Luckily Possessionista tracked it down at Pringle of Scotland - however with a $750 price tag I might just try constructing it myself! Check out the yellow duds, the cheery yellow wedding, and the coveted yellow shirt {and a zoom-in on the circle detailing}. I love you, yellow shirt...

petticoat bride

I'm looking for a crinoline petticoat to go under my vintage "Practice Wedding" dress. It has to be in a bright colour - probably either yellow or teal. I've found a few options out there. I was super excited when I saw this beautiful yellow one up for bid on ebay for $9.99 but then when I checked back the item had been pulled because it was lost or damaged!!! What are the chances?! Also I'd kill to wear the one that was made for the dog...so unfair!

{This one was on ebay but its now broken or lost...sniff sniff}

{This one on the GoodEye Etsy store is a beaut...but unfortunately the wrong colour}
{What the frig?! Why is this gorgeous one made for a dog?? Why not pint sized humans?}
{Minty! Too bad its from the UK!!}

yellow necklace lovelies

It has been bright and sunny the past two days and yesterday there was a touch of spring in the air {despite today's dismal groundhog prediction!}. I guess I am channelling the sun, as I am drawn to these yellow necklace lovelies...

1. Dilcy Beaded Necklace, Forever 21
2. Primrose Garden Necklace, J. Crew
3. Karma Necklace, J. Crew
4. Charlotte Necklace in Withered Vine, Foundling
5. Lemon Curd Necklace, Anthropologie

sweet inspiration

A good friend of mine bought me a subscription to Real Simple magazine for my birthday (thank you Rebecca!), and this month's issue has been sitting pretty on my coffee table, staring at me, every hour of every day, with the prettiest picture on the front. I can't stop looking at it. I love the mixture of the colours - soft green, bright yellow, white, and an accent of blue and red. So fresh and new! Just think of all the pretty things you could do with these colours at a wedding. In fact, I am trying to convince Shayna (fellow Bloomer) to use these colours for her "practice wedding" next July. And because it's a rainy day in the city, I thought I'd go buy some flowers at Ave & Dav, and see if I could play around with a centerpiece that mimics the freshness of the pic above. What do you think? If only I had a blue pot!
