vintage wedding perfection

Joelle Bloomer is on her way home from a big trip to Chicago, where she probably bought some amazing clothes. Maybe she'll post her fashion finds on here! But before she left, she sent us Bloomers a link to a wedding post on SugarLove of the most gorgeous vintage wedding. I love the bride's dress. And I love the blue one as well with the layered necklaces - perhaps it was a bridesmaid's dress? Whatever it is, I would like to wear it! Everything about this wedding, from the blues in the hydrangea bouquet to the napkins to the chalkboard seating display is just so absolutely delicious...

modern vintage bride

I am thinking that what us Bloomers are really loving right now are old things made new. Not just old-fashioned, but a re-invention of old fashion! I saw these dresses on Junebug and I thought it was so cool that these brides look so modern, but yet their styles so vintage. Their dresses look modern and sleek, but they've accented with vintage accessories.

i absolutely love the way these black beads look paired with her white dress. i've always had a thing for black...how awesome would this be with a black diamond engagement ring!

again, makes such an impact with the layered beads against her cream coloured gown!

my vintage find!

A friend and I were shopping in Kensington Market last week looking at old crinoline skirts that might come in handy for the Practice Wedding. Little did I know, instead of crinoline, I was going to actually find my Practice Wedding Dress!! Hanging innocently in the window of a second-hand shop, my astute eye {the same snazzy one that also fell in love with Kate Hudson's wedding dress from You, Me and Dupree} noticed it from down the street. With single-minded focus I made a bee-line for the store just knowing this dress was mine. Its like it was just waiting for me to come along....a little Chrismukkah miracle!
No fuss or alterations....this is about ten minutes after I brought it home! I'm in love...
