All the other blocks on our street are red bricked. While I like the red, it secretly excites me that ours is the ONLY orange-y coloured bricks on the street. Yay!
Bloomies and Blooms, my house has bricks. It has windows and doors too. And shingles. It's not finished my any means, but I'm very excited that I will have a space that the big bad wolf can't blow down. So here's a bit of my inspiration, and was wondering if you'd like to weigh in on some of the decisions? Craigger came home with a business card one day, and said "I like these colours". They were beautiful, and we thought, hey, I think they would be gorgeous in our house - especially throughout our bottom floor (aka dining room, kitchen and living room). So we went to the paint store, fell in love with Ralph Lauren paints (yes, I know expensive but I'm allowed to dream), and matched up some combinations. BUT THEN, we also fell in love with a pomegranate red in addition to the blue. But we don't want to use both. So we're deciding between the two for our bottom floor, and I think I might know which one I'll go with, but I want to hear your thoughts first!!I loved this pic from Domino Magazine's last (sniff sniff) March 2009 issue - in their "Outfit to Room Transformations" article. Sorry about the crease in the middle, but this photo is no where to be found online and I had to scan it straight from my treasured mag!! I love almost everything about this room - the black windows again, the plain army green blanket, the brown leather chair and especially, the frond in the window!! Yummy!

This chandelier looks cool to me too, although my boyfriend thinks it looks like brillo pad!
