modernist dollhouses

I think my fascination with teeny things has been taken to a whole new level, especially now that it's been paired with decor. Check out this modernist dollhouse by Annina Günther...it looks like she constructs a lot of the mini furniture herself, with many of her designs inspired by IKEA and other modern furniture. How cute is that little bedroom, the bookshelf {I actually own a normal-sized version in my living room}, the sofa? The recycling bin is insane! mini designer chairs!

It's no secret that I have an obsession with minis. In fact I have my own collection of mini chairs. But when I saw these collectible miniature designer chairs I just knew...I love...I want...I need them! Based on iconic, classic chair designs like the Eames chair and the Barcelona chair, these little detailed minis are 1/12th the size of the real deal {they stand about 4-5 inches tall}...and are a lot more affordable!

It looks like all 6 volumes can be ordered here and I have a pilot friend based in Hong Kong on the lookout. Even if you don't like minis or you don't like chairs...these are still pretty fascinating, don't you think? {photos from BC Mini and Bahraini Diva}

wee things

So once again I was reading my fave new blog Something's Hiding in Here, and I have to say, they never fail to entertain me! Look at this teeniest tiniest letter ever that was sent to them by the World's Smallest Postal Service! So then it got me wondering...what other wee things exist out there that would just make my day? So sorry to digress from the usual design and decor talk...I really needed to share all the adorable wee things I found!
