I love fall in general and Halloween in particular, so I was thrilled when I was asked to contribute to a Halloween craft book. I was even more excited when I finally got to handle the book in person - the projects and photographs are gorgeous, and I have my fingers crossed that I manage to free up enough time to get through at least a few of them next week.
You can find Witch Craft online at Amazon, or in person at Barnes and Noble. Or you can win a copy here! Just leave a comment on this post and share something. Something you love about fall, or maybe the best Halloween costume you've ever had, or your favorite candy to get in your pillowcase. I have two copies to give away, so I'll pick winners on Friday evening and I'll mail books out on Saturday so you can get some crafting in immediately.
I'm happy to ship to my international readers, of course. Because we're so close to the holiday you might not receive your book in time, but you could always keep it for next year.

Psst... chances to win things!
In the spirit of the holidays, I have a couple giveaways going on.
Hop over to the ever fabulous Brightside Project for a chance to win a couple of gift certificates (contest open till 11/28). I was lucky enough to win a beautiful metallic clutch earlier this year, and it made my month. I'm thrilled to be participating on the other side.
And sweet Beatrice over at Etsy Stalker has an interview (she came up with the best questions!) with me and I'm giving away an assortment of the minis (contest open till 11/29)! Colors will be a surprise, but you'll get a bunch, so you don't have to feel guilty about keeping some for yourself.
Get to commenting, kids! (Not here - comment on the posts I've linked to because that's where the winners will be picked from)

Lisa Leonard giveaway!
UPDATE - Thanks to everyone who entered! Our lucky winner (courtesy of random.org) is commenter number 116, Kristen. Congratulations, Kristen!
I have the day off today. It's a little odd to have a Wednesday off, and it meant working extra every other day this week, but I'll take it. I need to tackle a giant to do list, but luckily I have a giveaway for you.
Lisa Leonard not only designs lovely jewelry, she's incredibly sweet and she's a fellow Cali girl. Her pieces are all cut, hammered and stamped by hand. I'm particularly in love with her family crest necklace and the rustic looking oval monogram necklace.
I am also completely (and uncharacteristically) smitten with her baby spoons. So tiny! And not at all fussy.
Lisa is generously giving away a $50 gift certificate to her store, so you can pick whatever you like from her beautiful shop.
To enter, go visit the shop and browse around. Then tell me what your favorite item is by leaving a comment on this post. I'll leave comments open for a week, to give you all a fair chance. Happy shopping!

Surprise holiday giveaway!
I am making the most of the long weekend, but I can't resist spreading the joy with a holiday giveaway. If you're reading this, you probably have a huge advantage because most people are off at the beach or busy with their grills or participating the grand American holiday tradition of watching TV marathons (my pick is the Golden Girls, of course).
Go visit the shop and pick out your favorite headband. Leave a comment letting me know your choice. And be snappy about it. I'm going to pick a winner tonight and the prize will get mailed out as soon as I get your address. I'm guessing the pool will be pretty small this way, so you have a nice chance of winning. I certainly wouldn't want to leave out my international friends (especially because those outside of North America don't even get a holiday today) - all entries are welcome!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Pamware's apron giveaway!
I have a lovely giveaway for you today.
Pam sells these perfect little aprons in her etsy shop. You know I'm a sucker for Ikea fabrics, and Pam and I are clearly on the same wavelength - many of my favorite Ikea patterns have made it into her aprons. It's so nice to see bold graphic fabrics used in such sweetly feminine designs.
She kindly let me choose which apron we would give away, and I settled on the sunny yellow beauty pictured above after quite a bit of indecision. It's just so cheerful, isn't it?
Hop over to Pam's shop and leave a comment on this post for your chance to win her let the sunshine in apron. You can also see more of Pam (she shares some wonderful etsy finds) on her blog.
I'll be announcing the winner on Friday, so get your comments in!

Shoestring Home giveaway!
Sweet Mandi over at Shoestring Home is sponsoring another fun giveaway!
Shoestring Home is such a wonderfully edited shop, with unique choices. If you haven't visited yet, you really should. I love browsing through the site, particularly the housewares section, because I always find new things to love. Two of my (many) current favorites are the wire bread basket and the large lidded bowl. Beautiful, aren't they?
One lucky reader is going to win these Modern Twist Cluster Doileez. They are multifunctional, reusable and completely adorable. I would love to see the pattern peeking out from under a tart.
You have one week to enter - simply leave a comment on this post. I'll be announcing the winner on Friday, June 26th.
P.S. There is still time to vote for my sister's wedding over at Project Wedding. Go here and cast your vote. I'm the very first entry, as most of you smart cookies have already figured out.

Happy Friday + a WINNER!
Hello, my loves. It has been a long week. A very long week. I am ready to curl up and relax and maybe get some sewing done.
Last weekend I organized my little sewing area, and now it is very tempting. There's something so motivating about a fresh, clean work space.
And the news you are eagerly waiting for (at the end of the post, because I'm mean like that) - the winner of the Shoestring Home giveaway is commenter number 51, Blue Moss. Congratulations!
As consolation for the rest of us, Mandi is kindly offering a 20% discount off your entire order at Shoestring Home through April 10th. Just enter coupon code HEART when you check out. Luckily for me, this week marks the end of my shopping hiatus, and I'm officially free to purchase cake stands again. Yay!

Shoestring Home + a spring GIVEAWAY
Just because I'm not shopping doesn't mean I can't browse, right?
When I saw Shoestring Home, I was thrilled. Mandi, the owner, has a great eye, and her choices for the shop are so well edited. It's hard to browse the site without clicking on almost everything.
Here are just a few of my favorite things from Shoestring Home...
1. Angelina Cake Stands - translucent, mouth blown milk glass stands in three sizes. You're not surprised these made it on my list, right? If I weren't still on my shopping hiatus, these would probably be sitting in my house right now.
2. Herb Potting Kit - everything you need for an adorable herb garden, including seeds, soil, and these perfect pots made from reclaimed cement bag overruns. I love re-purposing, especially when it looks this good (and trust me - $40 for a ready made herb garden is a serious steal) .
3. Lucia Soaps - not only is the packing beautiful, but they come in scents like watercress and chai tea. I love the sharp scent of watercress and the spices of chai, and I'm very, very tempted by this one. Of course, tea leaf and wild honey is probably equally delicious.
4. Porcelain Flower Candle Holders & Vase - a sweet little trio of delicately shaped flowers, ready for candles and a spring bud. These would work equally well for fancy table settings and everyday dinners.
And the best news ... Mandi is generously offering a giveaway, so one of you lucky readers is going to get these fabulous cube vases.
Aren't they genius? The simple glass cubes contain glass tubes just the right size for a single blossom. You get a set of three, perfect for displaying the first spring flowers.
To enter, just visit the Shoestring Home shop and then leave a comment on this post (make sure you include your email address, if it isn't already linked to your profile). You have until Thursday evening to enter, and I'll announce the winner on Friday.
You only have a couple days, so don't be shy, people! I love it when readers pop out of nowhere to leave a quick comment.
