breast cancer awareness month

As you may or may not know, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in October. We lost our mother, The Original Bloomer, to breast cancer 5 years ago this October 13th so obviously it is a cause close to our hearts. D. sent me these pictures of Rothschild Avenue in Tel Aviv. Rothschild is one of the main avenues running through Tel Aviv and is always really beautiful with its wide walk/bike lanes running down the centre with big, shady trees overhanging the path. In honour of BCAM they decided to light the whole street pink in honour of this crazy, rotton disease. Its really gorgeous! I really wish it had been lit up like this when we were there last month...my mom {being the Original Bloomer and all} would have loved it...totally her kind of thing!

trendy trash in tel aviv

We were walking on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv and I was tickled pink when I saw what someone did to this recycling bin! It sure is marvy! I wonder how long it took them to do it...they wove different pieces of fabric all over it and they even added strange old pictures of brides and grooms. Just marvy...
