Paris day 3.5

Stephanie from Stephmodo came up and met me in Paris on day 3, oh the adventures we had!

The lilypad headband

Yet another headband.

lilypad headband

This one is for days when I'm feeling more subtle, and less ruffle-y. I'm calling it my lilypad headband, because that is what it reminds me of.

No tutorial, because I'm afraid it would be too self explanatory. I just cut out circle(ish) pieces of china silk (lightly singed the edges to minimize fraying), layered them and stitched them to some grosgrain ribbon and then added a few glass beads. I'm playing with adding more beads, slowly.

More of my headbands here, here, here and here. Yes, I'm obsessed.

Psst...where I blog from

Jane has been doing a fun new series called where we blog from. I've been loving the chance to peek at other bloggers' spaces and today I'm featured! Head over and check it out.

i love this kitchen

Last night i couldn't sleep so I decorated my new house in my head...and I love this kitchen! You know my obsession with mismatched chairs...I want 'em!

Friendly Fires

Friendly Fires

Okay ... ready to dance your Monday away? I am really liking this song and music video Kiss of Life by Friendly Fires. The lead singer, Ed Macfarlane has got this adorable British thing going on with quirky and interesting dance moves, I love how he rocks it out. I am going to share it with Mac and V so they can pick up some new ones. Remember their other cool video I posted? Find their album here, yet I don't think Kiss of Life is available until the end of August.

P.S. Sign up for their newsletter and get a free download.

Many Thanks...

apricots

What did you do this weekend?

I made apricot, strawberry and cherry jam... I've never canned before so it was a new thing for me. How many of you bottle your own jam or food? (Thanks Andi + Amy) I also helped my husband with some mass marketing at a venue, it was a great place to people watch and wow... I stepped away from my computer pretty much all weekend! Hope you had a fun summer weekend, hello Monday.

Many thanks to Suann from simplesong last week for such a wonderful collection of posts. Isn't she amazing? Be sure to peek in her etsy shop and website, she is incredibly talented and has fabulous taste. Thank you Suann!
