Culinary wish list

Thinking about...

1. The Cuisinart Stand mixer, the new competitor to the kitchen aid - mmm... I was saving for a kitchen aid, but now, I am not sure.
   
2. I've always loved the look of global knives ever since I saw Giada use them on Everyday Italian. I hear they are ultra light-weight too.
   

Ahh... to cook with both efficiency and style. Has anyone tried either of these products?
